Join the Satvic Swachhata Abhiyan
— a community-led clean-up drive to restore the sacred beauty of the Dakshineswar Temple Path. Let’s come together to perform a simple act of service that purifies our surroundings and ourselves.
This Abhiyan is not just about removing physical waste. It is a practical meditation, a form of seva (selfless service) rooted in the Satvic philosophy that our outer world is a mirror to our inner state.
When we consciously choose to clean the earth, we are also cleaning our own hearts.
By joining us, you are not just cleaning a path; you are helping to pave a way towards greater inner peace, clarity, and a deeper connection to the divine.
Like many of you, we are regular visitors to the Dakshineswar temple. We would immerse ourselves in the spiritual serenity of the place, yet feel a pang of sadness seeing the litter scattered on the very paths meant for devotion. For a long time, we just talked about it, feeling helpless.
The change came when we encountered the powerful teachings of the Satvic Movement and its founder, Harsh. His message was a call to action:
"Stop waiting for the world to change. Pick up a broom. True seva is not about grand gestures, but about small, consistent acts of selfless love."
This was our moment of awakening. We realised that complaining was passive, but action was a prayer. We understood that the outer cleanliness of a sacred space is a direct reflection of our collective consciousness.
Inspired by this philosophy, the Satvic Swachhata Abhiyan was born. It is our first humble step to put this lesson into practice, and we invite you to join us in this heartfelt service.
Every great change is powered by a community. You can be a part of this sacred mission in two powerful ways:
There is a unique energy that comes from working shoulder-to-shoulder for a common cause. We invite you to be physically present, to offer a few hours of your morning to this selfless service. Feel the earth, connect with fellow volunteers, and witness the immediate transformation your efforts bring. Let's share the sweat and the smiles of a job well done. Your physical presence is the lifeblood of this Abhiyan.
Perhaps your circumstances don’t allow you to be there in person, but your heart is with us. You can still be a pillar of this movement by contributing towards the resources needed to make this a success. Your contribution is your presence, enabling the work on the ground.
No contribution is small when given with a pure heart. Whether you join with your hands or with your heart, you are a crucial part of this mission.
